Mandeep Singh is an Indian Cricketer. He plays for Punjab in top order batsman list. He is an attacking Right-hand batsman with the ability to bowl Right arm medium pace. Mandeep also played for India Blue cricket team and North Zone and is currently a part of RCB squad in the 2018 VIVO IPL auction.
He has also played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2010 IPL edition. He was also the Vice-captain of India Under-19 cricket team for the 2010 ICC Under-19 cricket team.
In the 2012 IPL season, Mandeep Singh scored 432 runs from 16 matches including two-half centuries and ended the tournament as Kings X1 Punjab Leading Run scorer. He also received the “Rising Star of the Tournament Award” in the same season.
On 18 July 2012, he was included to 30 probables for the World T20 Tournament to be played in Sri Lanka in September 2012. However, he was not selected for the final 15-squad team. He made his T20 debut against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club on 18 June 2016.
Mandeep’s father is an Athlete coach in Jalandhar. He was initially not happy with his son’s cricketing ambition but later on seeing his potential he got satisfied. He also once fielded for South Africa A.
