Mohammad Nabi is an Afghan Cricketer. He is a former Limited-over captain for Afghanistan. He is a Right-hand Batsman and an offbreak bowler. Nabi holds the record of fastest fifty by an Afghan cricketer in T20s.

He is also the first Afghan player to be sold in the IPL to SRH for the 10th season. He was bought at his Base price of 30 Lakhs. In this year of 2018, he was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 11th edition of VIVO IPL auction.

In January-February 2013 Mohd. Nabi played for Bangladesh Premier League by the side Sylhet Royals. He helped his team to reach the semi-finals with some awesome performances. He took 16 wickets in 13 matches for Royals and one of the top batsman in the tournament. When the Royals lost Andre Russell due to the injury the search for his replacement of Royals stopped on Allrounder Nabi. The demand for Mohd. Nabi came from the coach Mohammad Salahuddin who is impressed by the Nabi’s performance.

He took 2 wickets by giving only 15 runs in the first match provided the Royals a controlled start against Barisal Burners A with the 33 run win. He bowled two more tight spells with the significant contribution with the bat also.

Nabi belongs to a family to Peshawar, Pakistan, During the Soviet war in Afghanistan. He has been the key player for the upcoming Afghan team.

Slowly he became the most important player in the Afghan International team with the rapid rise in the ranks of International cricket taking 11 wickets during the 2009 ICC world cricket division League, helping Afghanistan finish top and to progress the league stages of the team.

In March 2013 ACB (Afghan Cricket Board) announced that Mohd. Nabi will become the Next captain of the Afghan cricket team.
