Mayank Agarwal is an Indian cricketer. He is a student of the Bishop Cotton Boy’s school and Jain university in Banglore. He is an attacking opening batsman who plays first-class cricket for Karnataka.
He was noted at the 2010 Under-19 world cup. He finished as the top run-getter for India opening the innings. His aggressive style of play earned him place in Karnataka’s T20 squad and he started smoothly by scoring a half-century in his debut. He was so impressive through the tournament. Mayank scored two fifties to lead the batting charts for Karnataka in the competition.
As a reward of this, he got an IPL contract from the Royal Challengers Banglore in 2011. Although he did not play many games in that season he played all the matches in 2012 and scored a 30-ball 64 against Mumbai Indians. It his career-best score in the IPL. Due to the lack of form, he was in and out of the side in 2013. After that, he was moved to Delhi Daredevils for IPL-7.
Agarwal is more famous as a T20 batsman as compared to first-class or List A. he made his first-class debut against Jharkhand during the 2013-14 season and much like his T20 debut, he began very well by scoring 90 runs.
