Saurabh Tiwary is an Indian One Day International Cricketer and a first-class cricketer. Tiwary is a left-handed middle order batsman. He was one of the key batsmen in the Indian team that won the 2008 Under-19 cricket world cup in Malaysia.
He hails from Jamshedpur. He also played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. He models himself on India’s cool captain MS Dhoni. He is a Bihari by birth and was brought in Jamshedpur. He started taking seriously at the age of 11. He made his debut for Jharkhand at the age of 14. After his debut, he impressed many Local selectors and eventually made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2006-07.
He scored two half-centuries against South Africa and Bangladesh helped them to win the game. He is known for his consistency. Saurabh Tiwari played a valuable inning in the middle orders on many occasions. He scored 3 centuries in the 2009-10 Ranji Trophy. It was the start of his purple patch.
In 2010, he came into the limelight when he played a valuable inning to help Mumbai Indian reach in the Finals of the tournament. He scored 419 runs in 16 games at an average of over 29. Saurabh Tiwari made his International debut against Australia in Vizag after few senior players opted out. He was bought by the RCB on the 2011 IPL auction. He had a pretty ordinary tournament.
He continued to play for them for the next two seasons. Due to the lack of performance, he was kept in the auction of 2014 edition of IPL. There he was bought by the Delhi Daredevils. Now in January 2018, he was bought by Mumbai Indians for the VIVO IPL 2018 edition.

Facts You Should Know About Saurabh Tiwary
Tiwary was bought for USD 1.6 million by the Royal Challengers Banglore ahead of the 2011 IPL season. He scored only 150 runs from 47 matches and then an injured shoulder ruled him out of the 2014 IPL. He played for Delhi Daredevils in 2015 and was later moved to Rising Pune Supergiants. Tiwary’s 2015-16 Ranji season was excellent. He was in the top 15 run getters list.
